For most of our missions, we utilize the Short Skyvan. This allows for up to 8 photographers to have a clear view for photographing our subject aircraft behind the airplane.
Our top priority is safety—for our team, our pilots, and every guest on board. Before each photo mission, we hold a required safety briefing for everyone involved. During the flight, all guests must wear their safety harness securely and follow the rules set by our team, the FAA, and the aircraft’s operating procedures. We only fly with excellent pilots and the pilots also go through a pre photo tour briefing.
Because of the unpredictable nature of air-to-air photography, we cannot guarantee that a specific aircraft will be available. We coordinate closely with pilots and their aircraft to secure commitments for each photo tour, but unexpected factors like maintenance, weather, or other issues may prevent an aircraft from participating.
Still, we ALWAYS arrange an excellent lineup for every tour to make sure you enjoy a great air-to-air photography experience.
When conducting Air 2 Air photo missions, it's best to use either a DSLR or a mirrorless camera. These types of cameras allow you to shoot in quick bursts, which is important for capturing fast-moving subjects. Ideally, your lens should cover a focal length range of about 24-240mm. You can achieve this by equipping two separate cameras with different lenses, or simply by using one camera with an all-in-one zoom lens that covers that range.
Please see the Air 2 Air Tour Preparation Packet below.
Remember, once you're in the aircraft, it's not safe to change lenses. Dropping a lens while in flight can create a serious hazard for everyone on board, so always set up your gear before you take off.
As we have contracted with various vendors , pilots, aircraft and partner tour operators for the space being sold and have assumed a large financial obligation on the clients behalf; including but not limited to, hotels, transportation, permits, staff, and local partners we must utilize a non refundable booking policy.
The guest understands that they WILL BE RESPONSIBLE for the entire tour balance even if they are unable to participate in the tour. Client understands that all payments cannot be refunded regardless of circumstance.
All payments made are non-refundable. However, if we are able to resell your spot, you will be refunded the fee less an administration charge. For this reason, Travel Insurance is HIGHLY recommended to cover any unexpected and unforseen events that can occur that prevent you from attending.
